- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪Their billing practices violate state and federal laws and are atrocious. They receive full payment from insurance, payment they agreed to receive as an in-network provider and then turn around and bill the so-called remainder. This was not a co-pay or an out of pocket expense. This was balance-billing that they cannot do in my situation. Actually they don’t even bill, they quietly turn over bogus balances to the collection agency. My health plan had to call them to remind them of their billing obligations under the state and federal laws. They charged $10,000 for 2hr of emergency room service where they administered sugar water through an IV (I was dehydrated). They received full adjusted balance, and wanted to collect more- another $2,000. SHAME on NCH.July 17, 2017by Jane Kim
